Sunny Day

Well we finally had a nice sunny 60 degree day. Mia and I enjoyed some shopping at the Shoppes today. We had to get some flip flops and rain boots. We are ready! She even got to play at the CAT play yard. It was a little windy

When Daddy got home we played outside. She loves her slides and swing. This year she can climb up the ladder all by herself. My baby is growing up.

I'm feeling good these days. I'm getting bigger everyday. We've pretty much narrowed down a name finally. We are just going to keep it to ourselves for now. Too many opinions and we really like the name. We're just excited for him to get here.

Mia turns 2!

Mia had her birthday party on Saturday. It was a Mickey Mouse themed party. She loves her Mickey. All her friends and family were there. Her actual birthday is Thursday and we plan on going to Chuck E Cheese's. She'll love that. So hopefully she won't change overnight but so far 2 is OK. She has her own opinion on everything, but hey don't we all?

I'm on week 21. I'm feeling pretty good. So far this week none of us are sick. Don't get too excited its only Tuesday. I'm getting bigger everyday. Hopefully this little boy won't be too big. If he is I'm prepared. Mia was 9lbs 15 oz. so I know what its like to be uncomfortable. So far he doesn't have a name. We have a few that really like. Its just picking one that sounds good with a middle name that goes.

It's a Boy!

Well last week we found out we are having a boy. Josh is thrilled. I'm overwhelmed. I'm so glad to be having a boy. I'm just in panic mode thinking about all new clothes and nursery stuff. I'm just glad Dr. Dad will be home with us this time. He can change the circumcision diapers until its healed. So now we are thinking about boy names. Its hard. Hopefully he'll have a name soon but for now he's Brutus.

Mia is doing better. We have been passing this cold between the 3 of us since a week before Christmas. So right now Josh and I have it. Her birthday party is on Valentine's day. Its a Mickey Mouse Party. It should be fun.

Well its Groundhog Day and the stupid thing saw its shadow. I'm so past ready for Spring. Summer and the 90's can stay away. I'd just like 65 degrees and sun. I want to push my daughter in a swing and relax!!!!

All kinds a firsts

Well Mia had all kinds of firsts happen to her this week. We started off with her first medi pedi. Mom picked a nice light pink. She loved having them painted. I had to sit on her to keep her down while they dried. Guess I'll need a quick dry polish for her.

Then she went sledding for the first time. We took her to the clubhouse by our house. It was a small hill so that was a good starter. She loved it. Dad even went down the big hill for us a couple of times. Getting back up isn't as easy as it was when we were kids. She loves playing in the snow.

Then Monday we had the winter retreat for Josh's work. So Mia went bowling for the first time. She broke 100. So at 23 months she's already better than Mom. She loved it. All the kids had a hard time waiting for their turn. It should always be your turn right?

Welcome 2009..where have I been

Where have I been???? It was Halloween last time I blogged. Well I'm pregnant so I've been dealing with morning sickness. It was pretty bad. Then I felt good for about 2 days then I got the worlds worst cold. Right in time for the holidays. So now my cold is gone, the morning sickness is gone, the Christmas decorations are put away and now Mia is sick. Go figure.

So its 2009. It will be a big year for us. Our baby is due the last week of June. That will be fun. Josh signed with Canton so we'll be moving this summer also. New baby, new house and new job....are we taking on too much?

Mia has been enjoying her new Christmas presents. She now has a kitchen, a little people barn, a doll house and ELMO! Not to mention all the other things she loves and plays with daily. Our house now looks like a day care. Which I guess in reality it is. So now we are having a little break in January but Mia's 2nd birthday is right around the corner. My baby will be 2....time has flown by.

October blues

Well Mia and I have the October blues. Its cold out. We are bored with our little house. Everyone we know is sick so we haven't been going out with people much lately. Its dark by 6 (soon to be 5). The worst of it.....Mia is now waking up between 5:30 and 7. Too early. No more 8 or 9. I loved those days.

We have made an effort. We went to Play Pals. Its a children's gym. She had fun there. Its going to be in the 60's this weekend so maybe we'll get out and have some fun.

We did go and see the Extreme makeover house. I'll post those pictures when I go get a picture of it finished. It was a circus but such a nice thing to happen.

Africa WOW!

As members of the Glen Oak Zoo we were able to preview the new Africa! wing of the zoo. The animals aren't there yet so we got to go into places that you aren't normally allowed. I've been seeing the dust stirring behind the gates and all the tractors moving around but I had no idea it was going to be this awesome. It tripled the size of the zoo. I can't wait till spring to see it all come together. The best part is the hidden trenches. You think the animals are all together but they can't get to one another.

Mia, Josh, my Mom and I all went. Mia has figured out echoing rooms. So she screamed every time she knew it would echo. That was fun. I'm glad my membership money has been put to good use.
